Reservation confirmed.

From day on we will encounter some hills, but don’t worry: The real mountains are in the second and third week only. For the time being the tour will be surfing hills – a good chance for all of us to make sure all gears are working properly.

day 1

The first day takes us through Luxembourg, avoiding the city with a loop to the north. At Longaville we will enter France, 85 km into the ride. Longwy, a few km down the road, should be a good place to stop for a break.

The day ends with some more climbing (in France we will go down into a river valley and up again) as we approach Verdun. The hills to the east through which we approach have been one of the major battle sites of World War I.

Camping will be fairly close to the city in the meadows of the Meuse river (Maas in The Netherlands).
